Troodos Mountains Kykko Monastery Excursion

Troodos mountains, Kykko Monastery, Holy Cross Monastery, Tomb of Makarios, Omodos village, Birthplace of Aphrodite

Discover the "Green Heart" of Cyprus, its picturesque villages and valleys.

Omodos: Commencing our journey we visit Omodos and walk through the narrow streets of the village and visit the Holly Cross Monastery. Visit the local winery and taste Commandaria and Zivania.
Mount Olympus: We will then travel through the Troodos square and upwards to the highest point in Cyprus, Mount Olympus standing 1,951 meters above the sea level (weather permitting).
Kykkos Monastery: Driving through villages of Pedoulas and Prodromos our next stop is the breath-taking Kykkos Monastery, the most famous and wealthiest monastery on the Island, founded 1092.
Here we will have ample time to visit the tomb of Archbishop Makarios and then enjoy lunch in a restaurant nearby. (Not included in price)

We travel through the "ecological heart" of Cyprus with its idyllic villages and evergreen forests.

Last stop at the Birth Place of Aphrodite. (There is time for swimming)
Important: Please note that there is a strict code inside the monasteries and modest attire is required. Shoulders and knees must be covered - no shorts or low-cut blouses.
